Do you buy coupons online? If so, where, and how many a year or lifetime?
Yes, Groupon, Living Social, And Redflag deals where the top three.
An average of 10 coupons bought to this day were tallied.
Then I explained the product and the responses were as follows.
- I like the idea of only getting the things I want.
- Minimizing the amount of websites that I have to sign up for benefits me.
- I strongly dislike getting the same deals on a monthly or even weekly bases.
- Sometimes you need the deals that you don't often get. Ex. I change my oil yearly and wouldn't think about it very much, but when a deal comes for say, Mr. Lube, I would be inclined to purchase it because the timing might line up. And oil changing companies wouldn't be one of my preferences.
- Some people didn't even know there was other sites aside from Groupon.
Summary:
For the most part, people found it was an interesting idea mostly because it would pertain to the things you want. They don't like receiving 'junk mail' for the items they would never buy.
I also chatted with a few people regarding the ethical living website. The questions more or less revolved around health consciousness, ethical purchases, environmentally friendly, or organic living. Here are some of the responses.
- Only 2-5% of my groceries are truly organic.
- Organic food is too expensive and getting deals would be a great idea. The only thing is, I want to keep the convenience of a grocery store.
- I don't want to travel to three different locations for my groceries, I would like a one stop shop.
- How do you live a environmentally friendly life? Walk to work, recycle, fair trade tea, biodegradable cleaning products, support a child in a developing country.
- Unaware of where things are made, the condition of the work place, how many toxins are being polluted into the earth, or the impact the factories have on the worlds environment.
- Many people don't care where it's made, or how it's made, they just want a cheap, good quality product.
- Most people are unaware of how many chemicals their food contains.
Overall, the responses I got made me think that they were on the line. Many people don't care about it, some people are interested to a certain extent, and other are draw to healthy living because they have to, or other lifestyle choices.
