Coding the night away

This has been a truly hectic week with a ton of final projects due and finals coming up. I have also being working on the prototype. The coding has taken longer than I hoped for and I am in a race against time to get it done. What has made it more daunting is balancing this and the school work I have. I am learning important lessons along the way and one of the most important lessons is the fact that running a startup is pretty much like a roller coaster. It is not a five days a week, 8 hours a day type of job; rather it is in my opinion an endless cycle. There is a lot to be done and sometimes it feels like there is little time to get it done. I now get why you need passion to be an entrepreneur, there have been lots of times I have asked myself why are you up late at night coding a freaking prototype(is it for the grade maybe but then I wouldn't put in these many hours for something that is worth about 5-10%). I know for damn sure it is not about the money at this moment; although it could be at some point. I believe passion is the answer. I love technology and I have always wanted to do something that will make people's better through technology. Could mido be the product, I would have to finish the MVP and see how that goes(positive of course). "Someone once said being an entrepreneur is the craziest thing one could ever do, but it is also the most rewarding". It is for this reason I am up at 4:30am in the morning, running high on coffee and energy drinks and coding the night away to finish the MVP.

  1. Sounds like you've been working hard to make all the progress you can! Passion is important. Not too much longer and the semester will be over, but if you have this desire to go forward with this and affect people's lives in a positive way...I say go for it!

  2. That is definitely a good sign. They say if your venture doesn't get you out of bed in the morning you don't have the passion to make it work. It sounds like you definitely have the passion and I'm sure you hard work and sweat equity, as they call it in the entr world, will pay off down the road. I look forward to seeing your prototype and the results of those coffee benders. Also noticed this post was at 3:12am!
