Here is what I believe made mido's pitch successful.
- Peter's confidence and voice - I was adamant that Peter do the pitch and it turned out great. Before, we were thinking Adrian and Peter tag team it, but after watching Peter do it solo, we would have it no other way. It wouldn't have been as good.
- Numbers-We didn't bog the judges down with a bunch of unrealistic numbers. We kept it simple, clean, and east to understand.
- Emotion-One thing we learned before the pitch was to grab a connection with the judges. They are investing in us as well as the idea. The first minute was explaining the story of how mido came to life; this was a great start to grab their attention.
- Man hours-I believe because Peter has already put a number of hours into the project, the judges could see a positive in that.
- Prototype-Showing the judges the prototype of the actual running website proved to be a good start for mido. It showed that we have put a lot of work towards this and it is already in use.
- Traction-The fact that we had 11 deal sites already joined to mido and over 200 users with 13 purchases show good traction and potential growth.
Great pitch guys, it's hard to believe you guy already had the site up and running, with customer already getting offers through your guys. You worked hard and it shows, good job you guys deserve first prize.
